Welcome back to another preview of our upcoming Deluxe Expansions for Ashes, “The Laws of Lions” and “The Song of Soaksend”! Today, we’ll be taking a closer look at the deluxe deck boxes that come with both expansions and giving a brief update on the Status of the War Within Event series! 

Deluxe Deck Boxes

Each Deluxe Expansion will come with its own deck box in one of two styles. The darker style will hold Namine’s deck, “The Song of Soaksend,” while the lighter style is for Odette’s deck, “The Laws of Lions.” Both deck boxes contain the same insert and have the same dimensions, measuring  roughly 8 inches long by 4 ½” inches wide , and 2 ½ inches deep.

Each deck box contains a two-part high quality vacuum tray insert designed to hold a single deck, conjuration pile, Phoenixborn, tokens and 10 dice. The Deck well can hold roughly 40 sleeved cards, while the conjuration well can hold roughly 26 sleeved cards. These numbers fluctuate slightly based on what brand of sleeve is used. Between these two wells, there is a slight gap that is perfect for housing a first player token.  For the dice, there is a well on top designed to hold 10 Ashes dice. Then there are also three token wells, which each measure approximately 1 inch deep and 1 inch long by 2 ½ inches wide. This should give players plenty of room for tokens. Additionally, all wells are designed to be flush with the top of the deck box when sealed, to ensure that none of  the components are jostled during travel.

These Deluxe Expansion deck boxes have been designed  to be the premier way to store and transport  Ashes Decks, making them a great addition to any Ashes collection! We’re excited to get them into the hands of our fans as soon as possible! Expect both decks to be available from retailers and our own web store in the coming months!

The War Within Deadline Extended

The War Within Event Series is off to an amazing start! We’ve already received many tournament reports and we’re thrilled to see Ashes fans are having a great time participating in the event. It has, however, come to our attention that some stores overseas are experiencing a longer wait to receive the War Within Packs, which has delayed their tournaments. We want as many players and stores as possible, helping  decide the fate of this upcoming Phoenixborn!  To facilitate this, we’ve chosen to extend the final date of tournaments from July 3^rd to July 31^st! This applies to all stores, but remember that tournament dates need not adhere to any other deadline besides this one. All War Within Event Series  should be completed and results submitted by July 31^st! We hope that this allows for even more stores to run and record events.
