Welcome back, Ashes players! Preview season continues for the fifth expansion in the Red Rains cycle: The Spawn of Shadowreck! This expansion comes with a mono-illusion magic preconstructed deck of all-new player cards. Illusion magic is home to some of the most powerful reaction spells in the game, and this release only furthers that advantage!
Defend the opposition in a flash with this heroic reaction ally! Just when your opponent thought they could pierce through, the Gate’s Defender blocks a crucial attacker, and can even survive to counterattack the following turn thanks to Alert, making for a very reliable unit for turning the tide of battle on your terms.
Illusion can also command the flow of battle offensively! Inkspill ensures perky small blockers can’t participate in battle, opening up surprising opportunities.
Just when you appear unable to defend yourself, From Darkness allows an exhausted unit to strike an attacker, cutting short your opponent’s plans at victory.
