Summoner Wars Revised Cards - UPDATE

Summoner Wars 2nd Edition is getting a small update to both its physical and online editions. We are revising two cards, both originally printed in the Summoner Wars 2nd Edition Master Set.

We first announced these changes (repeated below) a few weeks ago. Today we can say that the changes to Sera and Ice Ram are final, and we're excited to announce HOW players will get their hands on physical copies.

New printings of the Master Set will include the new cards. In addition, all copies of the upcoming High Elves faction deck will include both the new Sera Eldwyn card and 2 copies of the new Ice Ram card. The new High Elf faction deck will tentatively arrive alongside the new Swamp Orc deck in May 2023. The cards will not be available individually in any capacity.

Note, these updated cards are a permanent part of the High Elves Faction Deck product, so they'll be in localized editions, future printings, etc.

This method of updating cards will be the norm going forward - changes to very few cards, once in a while, included in new faction decks along with new printings of the original decks. Even though neither card in its original form breaks the game, we feel both of the changes will have huge benefits for the long term health of the game and the community, and that is why we are doing the update.

We recommend playing in-person games with the new changes immediately. For those who don't want to wait for the officially printed replacements, you can click here to download a PDF and print out the new cards. Sera Eldwyn is never shuffled into the decks and so can be printed via any method. Ice Ram can be printed out and placed to the side as a reminder of the change, or if your cards are sleeved, can be integrated directly into the deck.
