That’s why we need freelancers like you: ready to take any job, no matter how loathsome. As a freelancer, you will delve into ruins, brave the wilds, and slay the hordes of hideous creatures that litter the dark forgotten corners of the world. All so you can gather loot and return home, ready to blow it all and start over again the next day. It’s a lousy gig, so it’s perfect for the likes of you.
Freelancers condenses the fantasy RPG campaign experience into a single night of fun and mayhem. Create a character, roll funky dice, and blaze your way through multiple stories set in a world of magic, monsters and murder. Better yet, no game master is required, as a magical companion app does all the storytelling for you!
Craft Your Character
Create a freelancer and grab your friends to adventure through five replayable quests. Each quest crams the entire experience of a roleplaying game campaign into a single session!
All you need to do is choose a species, a job, and combine those sheets to create the ultimate character. After that, you are ready to level them up and spread their names far and wide during your quest.
Your unique character will gain skills based on decisions you make throughout the scenario. Each new skill allows you to roll bigger and better dice, giving you a higher chance of succeeding checks.
Choose the Path of Your Adventure
Time is of the essence and any diddle daddling (OR FIDDLE FADDLING!) will only add to the quest’s risk. This makes enemies and feats harder, which is why building your bag is important. Collect followers and harvest supplies to decrease your risk.
As you travel across the world of the Hub, you’ll pull tokens from your party’s bag. These can either add to your risk level, use up a supply, or trigger a follower encounter. Sure, going to a tavern would be cool, but it’ll take more time and may add risk to your adventuring party. It’s up to you if that stop is worth the trip.
Let the App Tell Your Story
No need for a game master, as the fully narrated app does the hard work for you. Listen to professional voice actors, sound effects, and custom music all with a simple click of the button. No unnecessary prep time is needed, allowing all players to join in on the adventure together.
Collect Titles
Players will make choices along the way that will earn them titles, some chaotic, some lawful. Perhaps you’ll defeat a troll and become “The Mighty Troll Slayer” or maybe you’ll decide to marry them instead and become “The Betrothed?” Who knows what shenanigans you may get up to in Freelancers? The world is yours to explore! At the end of the game, the player with the most titles will write their name on the pipes of the capital city, forever immortalized as one of the greatest freelancers of all times!
